Division 2 - Maesglas Res 3 v 3 NCE Thirds
Maesglas reserves clawed their way back from being three down and salvaged a point which goes a long way to fighting off relegation. With a strongish squad available it was finding the right starting line up to compete with a well organised Emlyn side, who in the first half were far superior, and being three goals down it looked as if there was only one winner but changes to players coming off the bench and positional changes helped the Maesglas cause and adding insult to their first half showing, Emlyn becoming far too complacent, especially with their substitutions probably costing them the three points, but take nothing away from Maesglas they have done this in the past, looking to be out of the game and looking dead and buried but then fighting back shows a lot of character in the Blues back bone. The three important strikes by Dazza Scotty Williams and two late ones by substitute Andrew White maintaining an unbeaten 3 match run throughout March. |
